Rolex GMT-Master II 126710BLRO “Pepsi” 40mm Jubilee Bracelet

The Rolex GMT-Master II reference 126710BLRO, known among collectors as the “Pepsi”, continues one of the most recognisable designs in Swiss watchmaking. The original GMT-Master, reference 6542, was introduced in 1955 in collaboration with Pan American Airways, giving pilots the ability to track two time zones at once, and its red and blue bezel became the defining feature of the line. Released in 2018, the 126710BLRO brought the Pepsi colourway back to stainless steel and paired it with the Jubilee bracelet for the first time in the modern GMT-Master II range. Its 40 mm Oystersteel case is fitted with a bidirectional rotatable 24 hour bezel featuring a two colour Cerachrom insert in red and blue ceramic, a technically demanding construction that is highly resistant to scratches and fading.

The black lacquered dial carries Rolex’s Chromalight luminescent hour markers and hands, with a red tipped 24 hour hand that reads against the bezel to display a second time zone, and a Cyclops lens over the date at 3 o’clock. Inside is the calibre 3285, a self winding movement featuring the Chronergy escapement, a blue Parachrom hairspring and a power reserve of approximately 70 hours, certified as a Superlative Chronometer to an accuracy of ±2 seconds per day after casing. The five piece link Jubilee bracelet is finished with an Oysterlock folding safety clasp and the Easylink comfort extension, allowing around 5 mm of adjustment on the wrist, and the watch is water resistant to 100 metres.
