Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 116519LN "Ghost" 18ct White Gold Oysterflex 40mm

The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona reference 116519LN, known among collectors as the "Ghost", is cut from 18ct white gold and measures 40mm. Its steel grey dial is paired with black subdials, which gives the watch its muted, tone on tone look. The applied hour markers and hands are made of 18ct white gold and filled with Chromalight luminescent material. The black Cerachrom bezel is made as a single piece of ceramic and carries an engraved tachymetric scale. The Triplock winding crown and the pushers both screw down, keeping the case water resistant to 100 metres. The watch sits on a black Oysterflex bracelet, whose elastomer surface is moulded over flexible metal blades, and it closes with an Oysterlock folding safety clasp.

Inside is calibre 4130, the self winding chronograph movement Rolex developed in house. It uses a vertical clutch and column wheel system and a blue Parachrom hairspring, and it provides a power reserve of approximately 72 hours. The movement is certified as a Superlative Chronometer, with an accuracy of minus 2 to plus 2 seconds per day after casing. The 116519LN with the Ghost dial was produced from 2017 until 2023, when the 126519LN replaced it. This makes the Ghost a discontinued configuration, and the one that established grey and black as a white gold Daytona colourway.
