F.P. Journe Octa Divine DN Platinum

The F.P. Journe Octa Divine DN is a refined interpretation of one of the manufacture’s most recognisable Octa models, notable as the first F.P. Journe design to place the hour and minute hands at the centre of the dial. The redesigned layout brings together a large instantaneous date, a power reserve indicator and a moon phase framed within a hand finished steel surround screwed to the dial, alongside a small seconds display presented on a rotating disc. Blued steel hands and oversized Arabic numerals keep the arrangement balanced and highly legible, while the case, offered by the manufacture in platinum or 18k rose gold at 40mm or 42mm, retains the understated proportions that define the Octa line.

Within the watch beats the automatic Calibre 1300.3, produced in house and crafted in 18k rose gold, a hallmark of every contemporary F.P. Journe movement. Winding is handled by an off centre 22k gold rotor mounted on ceramic ball bearings, delivering efficient unidirectional winding and a power reserve of around 120 hours, roughly five days of autonomy. Operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour with a variable inertia balance for stable timekeeping, the movement is fully visible through the sapphire caseback, where its finishing can be appreciated in detail.
