F.P. Journe élégante 48mm Titanium Orange Strap Ref. ELHT

The F.P. Journe élégante 48 mm in titanium (Ref. ELHT) is housed in the Flat Tortue® case, measuring 48 x 40 mm with an overall height of 7.95 mm. The dial pairs a white luminescent centre with an outer dial fitted with screwed steel elements, read by blued steel hands, with hours and minutes at the centre and a small seconds display at 6 o’clock. This example is fitted with an orange rubber strap and folding clasp, and the case is water resistant to 30 metres, with a sapphire crystal caseback and a crown that screws down.

Inside is the Calibre 1210, an electromechanical movement built around a patented motor with two rotors and a dedicated low consumption processor. A mechanical motion detector, visible on the dial at 4.30, sends the watch into standby after 35 minutes without movement. The hands stop while the processor keeps time, and once the watch is worn again it resets itself automatically, with the hands taking the shortest route to the correct time in either direction. This gives a battery life of 8 to 10 years in daily use, or 18 years in standby. The movement is finished in 4N gold, with Côtes de Genève, an engraved and decorated battery bridge, and polished, bevelled screw heads.
